This is an abrasion, more like sanding the skin surface. There are different tips with different grit sizes embedded in them for more or less aggressive treatments. It is less messy, no crystals left on skin or in hairline. Treatments have less discomfort for more sensitive skin.

This is more of an ablation, more like polishing or pelting the skin surface. There are different grit sizes of corundum for more or less aggressive treatments. This type gives a deeper exfoliation and is more effective in reducing the margins of fine line wrinkles, acne or burn scarring. Also, the Crystals pelting the skin tricks the skin into producing new collagen. The most effective Microdermabrasion Treatment is a crystal type using 100 grit Aluminum Oxide crystal. We offer both 100 and 120 grit Crystal treatments as well as the Crystal free.

For example, a medical grade Machine is NOT more powerful than an esthetic grade machine. The difference is in the way the machine is made. Usually more heavy duty as far as not having malfunctions. The only restriction is that only a Doctor is permitted to go into live tissue and that would be for removing a large mass or growth and that would not be necessary in normal skin care treatments. There is no such thing as a Medical grade Diamond tip or Crystal Free machine. There are advantages and disadvantages to both of these treatments and the decision should be made by both you and a knowledgeable practitioner.

DERMASOUND ELITE ULTRA SONIC FACIAL
We use the "Dermasound Elite" Ultrasound system, The first phase uses water and a process called "Cavitation" to eliminate dead skin cells and debris gently and safely by spinning water molecules across the skin in vibrations of 28,000 times per second loosening the upper portions of the Stratum Corneum giving a superior peel without trauma or inflamation.The second phase uses a process called "Sonophoresis" that by using exact technology of frequencies and power levels that coaxes pathways into skin cells to push cosmeceuticals in to nourish and heal at the cellular level.
The third phase provides a micro amp current that influences "Mitochondria" to increase ATP energy in the cells.

PHOTO REJUVINATION FACIALS
Not all LED Light is the same. For example, blue LED's have a very narrow band of energy, 90% of which falls within the plus or minus 5 nanometers range. There is a lot of engineering that goes into an LED array, which requires customization of the programs, energy outputs, wavelengths and pulse times. We use the Revitalight LED system that has a total 4200mw/cm2 or 7.2 Joules per 90 seconds (at skin level), making it the most powerful LED made for skin period. It is the only system that uses the Lambertain Optical Lens that was developed for NASA. Revitalight was the first LED device that was approved by the FDA for skin care.
THE ACNE FACIAL
Acne is a disease of the Sebaceous glands of the skin effecting 80% of adolescents as well as many adults. Acne occurs when oil is produced by the sebaceous glands does not reach the surface of the skin, but is trapped in the tiny pores or follicles. This plug may close off the pore, causing the follicles wall to bulge, which creates a whitehead. If the pore stays open, the top surface of the plug may become darkened, causing a blackhead.In both cases, he bacterial P.acne thrives in the clogged follicles. When bacteria and the pus leak from the follicles into the surrounding tissue, pimples are formed. Antibiotics are usually prescribed to kill the bacteria. Many people prefer not to use antibiotics because of the serious side effects.
